Counter Sales Assistant:
Hailsham Plumbing

Due to continued branch expansion, we have a new vacancy for a Counter Sales Assistant in our Plumbing Department at our branch in Hailsham, East Sussex.

What you will be responsible for:

Providing a point of contact for customers on the sales counter, dealing with enquiries over the phone and face to face, whilst maintaining high levels of customer service in order to maximise sales potential.
Working a 45 hour basic week, standard working hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am-5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch. Saturdays are on a rota basis and are paid at overtime rate. The hours will be either 8am-12pm or 8am-12.30pm dependent on your place of work.

Who we are looking for:

Due to continued branch expansion, we have a new vacancy for a full time Van Driver/ Warehouse Operative in our Plumbing Department at our branch in Hailsham, East Sussex.

What you will be responsible for:

• Unloading delivery vehicles, checking items against supplier paperwork, re-stocking shelves, picking, checking and packing orders • Delivering small orders to local sites and to customers on our transit tipper vehicle • Maintain the storage area by organising the floor space and keeping the yard clean, clear, and accessible for customers and staff

What you will be responsible for:

As a Plumbing Supervisor, you will be selling Plumbing and Heating products to customers, whilst effectively managing the department to achieve its sales and financial objectives. • Developing sales opportunities for new, lapsed, and existing customers • Communicating and negotiating with customers to secure the most profitable quotes and on-going business • You must ensure that customers receive the highest level of customer service • Keep your team highly motivated and up to date with training • You will be commercially aware, with the ability to influence your team and drive sales. • Ensure all mandatory Health & Safety training is completed and the branch is a safe place for both staff and customers

What you will be responsible for:

The successful applicant would ideally have experience with building materials and with remote controlled lorry mounted crane offloading, but full Health and Safety training will be given. A fork lift licence would also be preferable.
