Making Friends with BHA legends

Friends of the Albion welcome local businesses

In the Spring of last year, the Friends of the Albion held a charity lunch in the Legends Lounge at the Withdean Stadium to celebrate the good work that Brighton and Hove Albion football club are renowned for in the local community and representatives of Parkers’ sales team were in their element, surrounded by a number of their footballing heroes.

The club is particularly known for the excellent standard of football coaching given to both disabled and disadvantaged children and have provided these facilities as far afield as Africa.

Representatives from dozens of Sussex-based businesses were invited to enjoy the usual high standard of BHA hospitality in order to loosen them up for the charity auction that followed !

They also had the honour of meeting a true club legend, Gary Stevens, who treated everyone to some witty anecdotes before banging the gavel in the auction. He even provided various auction items himself, such as a framed and signed shirt and his cup final club tie.

Current team member Kerry Mayo, recently retired captain Charlie Oatway and BHA Chairman Dick Knight were also in attendance and spoke about the club’s charitable mission and desire to be a positive force in the local community.
