Parkers supply materials for Eastbourne’s
iconic tennis centre

GAME, SET AND BRICKMATCHING
AT DEVONSHIRE PARK

As the venue of one of the most important warm-up events prior to Wimbledon, Devonshire Park in Eastbourne is highly regarded in the professional tennis world and Parkers are delighted to have been involved with recent redevelopments which have further enhanced the club’s reputation amongst the game’s most celebrated players.

Both playing and support facilities have undergone extensive enhancement, including a fantastic new show court, new practice courts and increased space around outside match courts.

Off court, players will benefit from the development of new facilities such as fitness and physio suites, player lounges and medical facilities, and much improved changing rooms, with various building materials supplied by Parkers’ Eastbourne branch, as pictured below.

MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS

Work on these major improvements to the international tennis centre forms part of a £44million transformation of the area by Eastbourne Borough Council.

The Mayor of Eastbourne, Councillor Pat Hearn, said: “Eastbourne is synonymous with tennis and it’s really exciting to see these improvements, which we have delivered in partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association. They are a core part of the overall Devonshire Quarter development which will create a first class sporting, cultural and conference location here.”
