Another record breaking sum raised
for Teenage Cancer Trust

£25,000 RAISED FOR TCT:
ALL IN A DAY’S WORK FOR PARKERS

This year’s 4th Annual Parker Building Supplies Charity Golf Day, trade morning and celebratory dinner, has matched last year’s record breaking sum and raised an amazing £25,000 in aid of our Partner Charity Teenage Cancer Trust. And that figure could go even higher once we have collated all the winning bids received during the evening’s charity auction.

This ever popular event, which saw the places for the golf challenges sell out within days, was again held at the East Sussex National Golf Resort on Friday 14th July.

More than 300 people, including staff, management, suppliers, customers and their guests, attended. As ever, the day teed off with a trade morning offering the opportunity to benefit from some exclusive special offers provided by a number of our many valued suppliers.

Parkers' Pop-Up Shop

For the first time at our Trade Event, Parkers’ Pop-Up Shop opened for business offering one-day-only deals on stock clearance items. It proved to be very popular with customers and suppliers alike and our bargains were snapped up in time for the games to begin...

On course for action...

Fuelled with bacon sandwiches and mugs of tea, this was followed by team, individual, longest drive and nearest the pin competitions on the resort’s two Championship golf courses with 43 fourball teams basking in the sunshine.

The evening event, which included a four course meal, our auction of sporting memorabilia, and the usual fun and games, gave our golfers and guests the perfect opportunity to network with staff and suppliers, and to enjoy plenty of laughs with our own Stewart Pierce and Heart FM Breakfast presenter Jack the Lad hosting the event.

They were ably assisted by former Brighton defender Guy Butters and the lovely Sian from TCT, who gratefully received our ‘big cheque’ for £25,000 which will go towards TCT’s plans to introduce new children’s cancer wards in major hospitals around the UK.

Our great thanks, and those of TCT and of course of the many young cancer sufferers who will now benefit massively from your generosity, goes out to everyone who attended and gave so generously during the event.

We will be publishing a full list of the winners of our various competitions in the next few days, together with a gallery of pictures taken during the trade show, the golf challenges and the evening festivities.

Watch out for the updates to follow.
